Grilled Fruit

With fall around the corner, why not try something new on the grill while the weather allows? Grilled fruit gives you a tropical summer taste and a refreshing kick. Even though the last few weeks of summer are winding down, it’s still not too late to fire up the grill (electric or gas). Get creative and switch up the fruits for a beautiful rainbow skewer. Try fresh, frozen, or canned fruit and different seasonings! Be sure to check out the fruit at your local Farmer’s Market to take advantage of double bucks with your SNAP dollars. Grilled Fruit (Fruit kabobs) can make a healthy snack, dessert, or side dish. Please be sure to soak your wooden skewers in water for thirty (30) minutes prior to grilling in order to prevent burning.
